September Is National Preparedness Month: Is Your Team Ready?

September Is National Preparedness Month: Is Your Team Ready?

Preparedness isn't a once-a-year checkbox, but September gives the industry a reason to put it front and center. National Preparedness Month starts in a matter of days, and it's a good moment to ask how ready your facility actually is, not how ready it looks on paper.

Today, CHUG is running a Full-Scale Exercise for members as part of the Home Health and Hospice COOP/Downtime series, the kind of hands-on, real-world drill that separates a plan that exists from a plan that works.

That's the model CHUG builds every series around because preparedness isn’t just guesswork. It’s weighing risk and running a real-world scenario against your true preparedness strategy.

Registration for the Flood Preparedness Series is still open, but Sep 10 is closing in fast. If your AL or IL community hasn't registered yet, this is the time to do it.

CHUG's Flooding Tip Sheet is part of a bundle of 18 available to those who want a head start before the series begins.

Preparedness Month is a good reminder that the work is year-round.

The key to successfully mitigating any emergency is preparedness. CHUG members have access to a comprehensive suite of educational workshops that utilize real-life case studies to teach effective responses to storms and emergency situations. This training can be lifesaving. Not a member? Become a member today. Already a member? Visit the Member Portal for a full calendar of events and member-exclusive content.
