Fall Flood Preparedness Series for Assisted Living & Independent Living Facilities
Fall Flood Preparedness Series for Assisted Living & Independent Living Facilities
Emergencies don't wait for assisted living and independent living communities, and neither should your readiness.
September is National Preparedness Month, and CHUG is marking it with a three-part Flood Preparedness Series built for AL and IL operators. The series covers flood-specific response planning, evacuation decision points, and recovery operations, using real-world case studies to walk through what actually happens when water rises faster than expected.
Before the series starts: members can get a head start with CHUG's Flood Tip Sheet, a quick-reference resource built to support staff training and admissions conversations ahead of storm season.
These preparedness workshops and exercises are available exclusively to CHUG members. Participation offers hands-on training, collaborative learning, and direct support, all aligned with regulatory and emergency preparedness requirements. Membership ensures you're not just attending training, you're building proactive readiness. Registration closes one week prior to each event.
Membership means more than access to a single series. It means a full calendar of workshops, tabletop exercises, and full-scale drills built around the emergencies healthcare facilities actually face, backed by a community of peers working through the same challenges.
