WHAT WE DO
mutual aid
At our core, CHUG is a unique mutual aid system for nearly 1,000 healthcare members across the country. We provide our members with expert coordination of evacuation, transportation, relocation and shelter-in-place services. We also offer our expertise with response and restoration services, including fire and water damage, mold remediation, infectious disease clean-up and catastrophic loss.
TRaining & education
Employing a combination of intensive workshops and hands-on training exercises, CHUG empowers members to confidently respond to a wide variety of crises, including man-made, technological and natural disasters.
Workshops
Disasters can be unpredictable and often arrive at the worst possible time. The key to successful mitigation of any emergency is preparedness. CHUG offers a comprehensive suite of educational workshops that leverage real-life case-studies to teach members how to effectively respond in the face of adversity. Having this training can literally be lifesaving.

Training Exercises
CHUG offers a series of hands-on training exercises and drills that simulate real-life emergency scenarios. We work with our members to design exercises that suit each organization’s unique needs.
Consulting and Other Services
In addition to the intensive workshops and training exercises CHUG provides, we also offer hourly consultative services, including emergency mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery planning, among others.
