JENNIFER ROACH - President
Jennifer became a CHUG board member in 2013. She has worked in the healthcare industry for 20 years and a licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 1999. Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in Business/Accounting from the College of the Ozarks and her Masters in Recreation Administration from the University of Mississippi. While in Mississippi Jennifer was the Executive Director for the Lafayette County Red Cross where she gained a great respect for disasters and the difference being prepared can make on lives. She lives in Oak Park with her husband Eric.
GERRY MIRENGA - Vice-President
Gerry Mitrenga retired from Owner of Advance Ambulance. He has been active with CHUG since 2005 either as a volunteer, member or as a Board of Directors. In his free time, you can either find Gerry driving for Uber, relaxing at his summer home, or one of his passions golfing.
CHRISTINE MAZZUCCHELLI - Director at Large
Over 8 years in Post Acute Care for McKesson Medical Surgical providing medical supplies to Skilled Nursing, Developmentally Disabled, LTAC, Home Health and Hospice providers. Board Member for the Chicago Chapter for the State of IL Continuity of Care for past 4 years . Personal note manage women’s twilight golf league, 4 children and was a bone marrow match and donor.
PAT GERNABIS - Director at Large
Pat Gerbanas has worked for Greek American Home and Rehabilitation Nursing Facility for over 10 years. She works as Business Development, Marketing, and pursues grants. She has been with CHUG as a Board member since 2006. She keeps busy in her spare time with her family and her church.
JOHN HURLEY - Director at Large
John Hurley has 34 years of healthcare management experience. John has served in various consulting roles and has practiced as a licensed healthcare administrator in multiple states. He earned his undergraduate degree in Health Services Management and his MBA from Benedictine University. Currently, he serves as Executive Director of Wittenberg Village, (Crown Point Indiana) which is Joint Commission Accredited. His experience includes serving on a task force to lower turnover and has volunteered for Illinois Health Care, and Leading Age Associations. As a former Boy Scout leader, he knows the value of being prepared; he has successfully managed several weather related disasters at health care facilities.
TOM RUZNIOK - Director at Large
Tom owns his own business in Water Resources and Filtration Systems which is a vital aspect of emergency preparedness. He has been with CHUG for three years and served as a Director of our Board for all three years. He has expertise in HAMM operations too.
